Sama is currently the News Roundup Editor (2026) for the Armed Groups and International Law blog. She holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva (UNIGE), specializing in Swiss Law and International Law. Her thesis examined the role of the United Nations Security Council in the protection of civilians in Syria under international humanitarian law. Sama currently works with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and is a member of the Swiss Society of International Law (SSDI) and the International Law Association (ILA).
